Anderson wanted to be the first to share the big, exciting news:
Anderson's getting a baby SISTER- scheduled to arrive February 12, 2010! She looks healthy and active and Dr. S was "100% positive" of her girlhood. Believe me, I asked no fewer than 20 times "are you SURE?", so shocked was I at the news. He was sure about what he was seeing, J was sure about what he was seeing, I was missing my glasses and having a tough time seeing much of anything through my tears, so I'll take their word for it.
Seriously- I was SURE we were having a boy. SURE of it. So positive I'd have bet my last peanut butter cup. And no, it's not possible that the penis fell off and is just floating around in my uterus. I asked. Bumblebee's a girl. We're having a DAUGHTER!
More to come later. Still processing the news. Overjoyed, blessed, excited, nervous, happy. So very happy.

Ok... just had to chime in and say CONGRATS on a baby GIRL!! I found your blog through my friend Mary! I just love your blog - you're an amazing writer! Anyway, my twin girls were born on Feb 12! Congrats again! Oh, and they will be rear-facing until they're at least two, thanks to you for sharing your research!
I'm so stoked. Really - I'm sitting here bouncing up and down in my chair! Girls are so fun... and having one of each has been so super fun for me: I'm excited you'll have that, too! And so much more fun for me to shop and sew for, too :)

Congratulations! So exciting. Girls are so special. I know I'm biased, but still... I hope you're on cloud nine, which I am sure you are. Enjoy this amazing time! I cried a lot more the second time around.
